Dear Rinpoche, it is great to have the Shedra again, thank you. My question is about how best to cultivate the 9 virtues? In stanza 54, I feel that I am only too familiar with taking note of my defilements and pointless efforts, but in stanza 55, I am not so familiar with taking note of positive qualities. Is it just a matter of keeping these qualities in mind and aiming to cultivate them at every opportunity?
    warmest regards

Please Rinpoche and all sangha-friends, good to hear your teachings again, it is most helpful to learn how to make people, sentient beings happy and stay firm in that. What always helps very much is following the example of the noble ones, worldy and spiritual and as much as possible seeking company of good people, the sangha, who are an perfect example. Thank you.
May I -in addition to probably more requests from the Kagyu sangha in Holland- also ask you to keep the young, wonderful woman: Vera van Bruggen, in your heartfelt prayers. Vera is and was the attendant, translator of Lama Gawang Rinpoche in Holland, Friesland. A very smart and kind woman, who died very unexpectedly on Sunday the 23th of September due to heart failure. We’re asked to recite as much ‘mani’ mantras for Vera as we can and do practices we know. Maybe this advice came also from you Rinpoche? Vera was of course, since she lived more than 20 years so closely with Lama, familiar with powa practice and bardo teachings and many other practices of course, like Tara and Chenrezig. She was young kind and intelligent and a great support and it is a great loss for her family and friends, the sangha-community and ‘her lama’. Thank you very much. respect to all, marlou.
