BA1_1 Homage

Here Rinpoche explains to us the meaning of the first stanza of the first chapter of the Bodhicharyavatara, or actually the first half of the first stanza, which is the Homage. This is the third video teaching (BA3/BA1_1).

Thank you Rinpoche for your precious teachings and most of all for being what you are, a living example of what you teach.
I give homage to you and I bow down to you, the embodiment of bodhicitta, wisdom and compassion.

My gratitude also to all of those who have made this online shedra possible.

Rinpoche, thank you for the very clear teaching on the first half of the first stanza. It has made the text seem more accessible to me. I do have a question. When I read the first stanza (before hearing your teaching on it) it seemed to be at such a high level that I wondered if I would be able to understand it at all. I think this is because I have the Shambhala Library edition of the Padmakara translation and the first line reads:
To those who go in bliss, the dharmakaya they possess, and all their heirs,…
so I thought it was directed at those with only the highest level of realisation. Is that a misunderstanding?
    thank you,

Thank you Lama Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, I can see now another level of understanding to The Homages to the Three Treasures. For me an integration of my person as a part of the homages.
