{"id":1452,"date":"2011-07-29T16:54:38","date_gmt":"2011-07-29T15:54:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/?p=1452"},"modified":"2011-07-29T16:54:38","modified_gmt":"2011-07-29T15:54:38","slug":"editorial-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/editorial-july\/","title":{"rendered":"Editorial- July"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am very happy to send you all the July issue of Bodhicharya&#8217;s Many Roads.\u00a0\u00a0 There are so many great pieces this month and it is a bumper &#8216;poetic&#8217; issue!<\/p>\n<p>We have another article from our regular contributor, Vicki McKenna.\u00a0Vicki reflects on <a href=\"https:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/2011\/07\/29\/all-the-time-in-the-world-by-vicki-mckenna\/\">All the Time in the World <\/a>and how we can change our perception of time.\u00a0 Next, an article from Colin Moore which I know will interest many of you. It is <a href=\"https:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/2011\/07\/29\/sustainable-living-by-colin-moore\/\">Sustainable Living <\/a>and Colin explores &#8216;<em>\u00a0how Buddhist teachings can shed light on the various ecological and social disasters looming ahead, and how they might aid our responses to them.&#8217;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The first of our poems is from Shelagh Gardiner\u00a0and is a beautiful poignant study of impermanence in <a href=\"https:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/2011\/07\/29\/passing-by-shelagh-gardiner\/\">Passing<\/a>.\u00a0 Then, a very clever poem from David Gardner called <a href=\"https:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/2011\/07\/29\/may-the-jewel-of-compassion-arise-in-the-lotus-of-your-heart-by-david-gardner\/\">May the Jewel of Compassion arise in the Lotus of your Heart<\/a>. In <a href=\"https:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/2011\/07\/29\/snapshots-from-journey-to-sikkim-by-marion-knight\/\">Snapshots from Journey to Sikkim <\/a>by Marion Knight, Marion shares with us two of\u00a0her very lovely poems written during and following a retreat at the Bodhicharya Meditation Centre in Sikkim.<\/p>\n<p>In our Reviews section, Vicki Mc Kenna returns to review Gesar Mukpo&#8217;s documentary film <a href=\"https:\/\/bodhicharya.org\/manyroads\/2011\/07\/29\/tulku-a-film-by-gesar-mukpo-reviewed-by-vicki-mckenna\/\">Tulku<\/a>.
