Without it language falls<\/h2>\n<h2>traceless, like water into the sea.<\/h2>\n<h2>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/d2wipdjmobk1g8.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/12\/22152446\/red-squirrel.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4362\" src=\"https:\/\/d2wipdjmobk1g8.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2015\/12\/22152446\/red-squirrel.jpeg\" alt=\"red squirrel\" width=\"350\" height=\"280\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>Road Safety<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2>You too can die on the road<\/h2>\n<h2>says the dead red squirrel\u2019s<\/h2>\n<h2>streak of soft pelt<\/h2>\n<h2>on the hard straight tarmac.<\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Invisible to us the squirrel\u2019s route<\/h2>\n<h2>lies at right angles, perhaps<\/h2>\n<h2>with special signs to indicate<\/h2>\n<h2>\u2018cars crossing\u2019. They prove inadequate<\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>as we are when a storm<\/h2>\n<h2>flings trees about<\/h2>\n<h2>to hit and kill at random.<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/d2wipdjmobk1g8.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/10\/22152542\/cicely.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3607\" src=\"https:\/\/d2wipdjmobk1g8.cloudfront.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2014\/10\/22152542\/cicely.jpg\" alt=\"cicely\" width=\"192\" height=\"256\" \/><\/a>I live in Whiting Bay, am married to the painter <a title=\"Nicky Gill\" href=\"http:\/\/www.arranartgallery.com\/prints\/featured_artist.asp?id=%7BE53159C9-47C2-4935-85E0-19FB04B26807%7D&amp;artid=%7B124E7C2C-B8F1-4CC8-BC9A-AD88DB217CFD%7D\">Nicky Gill<\/a>. We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.\u00a0 I decided to be a writer at the age of eleven.\u00a0 Life intervened and although I kept writing and had poems published in for instance, <\/em>Chapman<em> and <\/em>New Writing Scotland<em>, it was not until last year that I published my first novel, a detective story called \u2018<\/em><a style=\"color: #800000\" title=\"Cicely\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cicely.co.uk\/\">Ivory<\/a><em>\u2019 and was commissioned to write a play about the history of Brodick castle for the <\/em>National Trust for Scotland<em>.\u00a0 This year NTS commissioned another play to commemorate WW1 on Arran and this was performed very successfully at the Community Theatre, Lamlash.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\"><em>I live in Whiting Bay, am married to the painter <a style=\"color: #800000\" title=\"Nicky Gill\" href=\"http:\/\/www.arranartgallery.com\/prints\/featured_artist.asp?id=%7BE53159C9-47C2-4935-85E0-19FB04B26807%7D&amp;artid=%7B124E7C2C-B8F1-4CC8-BC9A-AD88DB217CFD%7D\">Nicky Gill<\/a>.
