height=\"27\" \/><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: #003366\">First off, Billy Collins (1941-2003) was the American Poet Laureate for the State of New York from 2001-2003.\u00a0 He was also a Professor at Lehman College of the City University of New York,\u00a0 founded the Mid Atlantic Review with friends, and taught poetry.\u00a0 Collins was selected poet of the year in 1994.<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"color: #003366\">His poem, <em>Shoveling Snow<\/em> With The Buddha, depicts the Buddha mindfully and serenely engaged in the activity of shoveling snow.\u00a0 There is\u00a0 a message that even in our commonplace everyday activities, we can find meaning that can be thought of as profound.<\/span><br
