\u2728 Our New Centre is Open! \u2728<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Bodhicharya UK Buddhist Meditation Centre in Rochester has officially opened, a place dedicated to Healing, Helping and Harmony<\/strong>, guided by Ringu Tulku Rinpoche.<\/p>\n

On 30 June \u20131 July 2025<\/strong>, Rinpoche led the joyful opening celebrations, with community festivities, interfaith blessings, traditional ceremonies, and inspiring teachings. The Centre is the first of its kind in the UK and has been made possible thanks to the generosity, dedication, and goodwill of countless volunteers, supporters, and local partners.<\/p>\n

We are delighted that Tsering will be visiting the UK to offer a weekend retreat in Rochester, followed by a public talk and day of teachings in Minehead. All events are open to everyone, beginners and experienced practitioners alike are most welcome.<\/p>\n

Over these sessions, Tsering will skilfully guide us in exploring how we can cultivate and maintain a steady heart in a world that increasingly appears unsteady, unstable and uncertain. As practitioners, we need to develop the ability to stay open, aware and responsive in difficult times, without becoming overwhelmed by what is going on around and within us. In doing so, we can begin to see clearly and act wisely in our lives, in society and the world at large.<\/p>\n

In more Buddhist terms, we will explore how relative and ultimate truth are brought together in both our practice and daily lives, and how we can find a meaningful balance between view and action. How can we maintain a spacious, wise perspective while engaging compassionately with the practical realities of our lives?<\/p>\n
