Devotion in the Three Yanas
Rinpoche gives careful explanation of devotion as a medium of meditation and a path. Used in this way it is a non conceptual state of mind that can help us experience the true nature of mind.
Devotion has three stages-Inspiration, Aspiration for the qualities of the Teacher and the Confidence that occurs with understanding.
Rinpoche also describes the different traditions of receiving teachings, different kinds of thinking with the three Yanas and different kinds of Guru within Vajrayana.
