A talk on the topics of compassion and meditation.
Intro Everybody has a natural need to do something that is meaningful, something that is good for others as well as for oneself. This is said to be the seed of compassion. However, our flow of compassion and kindness is obstructed by fear and other negative emotions. And so we feel uncomfortable and not worthy of love. Our working on compassion is thus not only for others; it is actually much more helpful and beneficial for ourselves. Compassion is not sacrificing ourselves. It’s feeling good with ourselves – to feel our natural flow of being kind and benevolent, without anything obstructing us. We can open our heart and be in this fearless state of being.
