Rinpoche continues the teachings on the text “Creation and Completion: Essential Points of Tantric Meditation” by Jamgon Kongtrul the Great (1813 – 99).
The first part on this topic was in July 1997 at Kagyu Samye Dzong Dublin.
In the first year, Rinpoche talked about the first part, the preliminaries on how to cut off grasping.
Of the second part on practice, he covered the first point.
The main purpose of the whole of Buddhist practice is to work on the mind poisons.
He now comes to the actual creation and completion stage of the Vajrayana teachings and the point of transforming emotions. Like when you have anger, you visualise yourself as a deity such as Hevajra or Cakrasamvara or a wrathful deity like Vajrakilaya. Your mind and the deity and sometimes the Guru all come together. You do not latch on to the negative emotion, your mind is focused on a similar energy but not as that negative emotion, so it can be transformed.
The teachings were continued in 1999 and Rinpoche also taught this topic at Kagyu Samye Dzong Barcelona.
