Rinpoche ponders on the meaning of the word “creative”, how some artists are called creative. He sees everybody as very creative, we create good things and bad things, joy and sorrow, they are creations of the mind. Our preconceived concepts are like boxes, we like what fits into our box and reject what does not fit.
Many creative people had their ideas when they were not thinking the usual way, when they were relaxed and open. When our preconceptions are loosened, ideas can come up naturally. We tend to see things outside ourselves are responsible for our experiences, we do not realize to what extend we create everything ourselves.
Story about an old lion who wants to kill “the other lion” in the well.
Story about the unhappy man with a big family in a crowded place.
Meditation to feel more happy, visualizing light in our heart.
The most creative factor is our own true nature, which is boundless.
