The usual idea of happiness is being rich and famous. Story about happiness and money. Yes, you can be happy and rich but not every rich person is happy. Wealth does not bring happiness neither does poverty; there is no satisfaction in these alone.
The Buddhist notion of the “eight worldly dharmas” show us that we need to look deeper for happiness. It is not about what you have, or don’t have, it’s about how you regard them. The Four Foundations present the fundamentals of Buddhism. Always investigate teachings for yourself and question until you are clear. Rinpoche explains the Foundations.
