A group discussion with Rinpoche and students on the broad topic of the ‘Transmission of Dharma to the West’. Rinpoche was requested to share some of his thoughts and experiences gathered over thirty years of teaching Dharma in a great many Western countries.
The group then discussed with Rinpoche some of the cultural elements that both Tibetan Teachers and Western Students bring to this process and the effects that has produced. They also begin to explore how we might start to move beyond some of the misunderstandings there are and how we can continue to develop both the translation process and the training of Western Teachers.
