3 types of Buddhists; A. Those who want a positive fulfilling life. B Those that see that however positive your life there will always be difficulties and learn to see the emptiness in everything; C. Those that truly set their minds on achieving enlightenment to benefit themselves and all beings. That person has generated Bodhicitta and may become a bodhisattva. The four Limitless contemplations* – there is no better project. You cannot change others – but start with yourself and maybe others will follow. Story of priest who wanted to change the world. 3 Questions to a group about learning Buddhism: 1. What was the most difficult thing you found? What was the most helpful? If someone asked you ‘What is Buddhism? The best answers to all 3 is “You have to do it yourself!” Story of Anathapindika learning generosity. Bodhisattva practice is the 6 paramitas**. Different groupings of these. The 3 types of laziness. The importance of meditation to experience your true nature. Unborn and unceasing. It was not born so cannot die. It is a glimpse of enlightenment – the end of suffering. Q & A
