Whilst resident in Kagyu Samye Ling in 1994, Ringu Tulku was asked to teach on Meditation.
This guided teaching includes all the pauses (with Rinpoche sounding the temple gong) that Rinpoche originally gave students in the Main Shrineroom, so that listeners can practice for the same durations of time that Rinpoche intended for his instructions. Rinpoche answers students’ questions throughout.
He had been given a copy of Old Path White Clouds by Thich Nhat Hanh, which presents the life and teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, drawn directly from 24 Pali, Sanskrit, and Chinese sources, and which includes a resume translation of The Anapanasati Sutta (Majjhima Nikaya 118) Mindfulness Sutra on the Full Awareness of Breathing.
