In November 1996 Rinpoche spent a week of Ngondro practice with an international group in the Halscheid Retreat center Karma Thekchen Yi Ong Ling.
During this time he gave some explanations, the main part of the time was spent on practice. In the mornings everybody started with Prostrations, Refuge and Bodhicitta, after breakfast the group did Vajrasattva Mantras together with Rinpoche, in the afternoons they did Mandala offerings together, and sometimes in the evening Guru Yoga.
The goal was to accumulate the 4 x 100.000 as a Sangha group. Everybody counted their practice, and in the end they committed to do their share of practice to finish the numbers.
They used the traditional long version, at that time the shorter version of HH 17. Karmapa did not exist yet.
