The three trainings in Buddhism are the training on wisdom, on meditation and on action. This teaching is about action.
Action is about how I live my life. Understanding that my actions are directly affecting my future and other beings (karma), I have to be responsible for my actions of body, speech and mind. And the most important of these is action of the mind. How I think, and how I react, will become my actions of body and speech.
Compassion is the opposite of all negative emotions. We have to develop our good heart, and the tool we use is mindfulness.
