Paramita of Generosity – On Giving and Letting Go in Buddhism

My house, my car, my job – in all of our lives, what we have often determines how we feel. In our society it is common practice to accumulate as much possessions as possible and to be fully concerned with our own benefit in order to be truly successful.

In a world so focused on possessions, status, and self-interest, giving wholeheartedly with no hope of getting anything in return may be an act of rebellion.

On this day, Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will explain the meaning and practice of the Paramita of Generosity in Buddhism, drawing on his many decades of experience as a Tibetan Buddhist master.
