Kagyu Monlam Live Webcast

The entire 27th Kagyu Monlam Chenmo will be broadcast live on this site starting from 12/20/2009 to 1/1/2009. The first broadcast will be the Dharma Teaching by His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa: “A Letter to a Friend”.

“A Letter to a Friend” is a text widely studied by all Buddhists, whether one is a layperson or a monastic. It is a revered text written by the great Indian master of Nalanda University, Acharya Nagarjuna. In this letter to his friend King Gautamiputra, Acharya Nagarjuna gives a concise presentation of the Buddha’s Teachings for practitioners to use in their daily life. This letter contains one hundred and twenty-three verses.

This teaching wil be broadcast live over the Internet from Pal Tergar Dhargye Ling Monastery in Bodhgaya, India.
