CHAU MEIN भाजेको चाउ चाउ






1/2 standard packet of noodles

1 cup of chopped vegetables (carrot, cabbage, onions, tomato, coriander, etc)

1/2 teaspoon of spices (garam masala)

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 – 2 eggs beaten

1 1/2 tablespoons of ghiu (clarified butter) for frying


Boil the noodles in water for 5 minutes.  Drain and immerse in cold water.  Fry all the vegetables in ghiu till tender.  Keep them aside.  Fry the noodles in a pan for 4 – 5 minutes. Keep in a bowl and mix in all the vegetables with the spices.

Beat the eggs and make an omelette.  Cut into small pieces and use as a garnish on the noodles.

A spicy tomato sauce can be used to add to the taste.

Serves 4 – 5 persons.
