Refutation of the arguments of those who believe in “true” existence. Three questions to ask which are fundamental to Madhyamika philosophy. Every designation is imputed, relative and dependent e.g. “father” and “son”. The shi, the integral nature of phenomena, is only an imputed characteristic. The intellectual mind applies the designations and thus cannot see the truth: to realise wisdom we have to develop the non-conceptual mind.
