Teaching on the Mahamudra Lineage Prayer – With Lama Tsultrim Guelek from Bodhicharya France

Sunday the 19th of April, 10:00am – 5:00pm GMT – Bodhicharya UK Centre in Rochester

The Mahamudra Lineage Prayer – “Dorjechang Tungma”

One of the most beloved and oft-recited prayers in the Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, The Mahamudra Lineage Prayer combines a supplication to the Mahamudra lineage with a concise guide to Mahamudra practice and the stages of the path to Enlightenment.

With his great skill of being able to make the teachings understandable, accessible and applicable to the western mind and way of life, Lama Tsultrim will unpack the breadth and depth of the teachings contained within the prayer and explain their significance on the path to Awakening.

H.H. 17th Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje composed a beautiful tune that one can recite this prayer to, which we shall also learn and practice together on this retreat under the guidance of Lama Tsultrim, who is also a classically trained singer.

Weekend Retreat with Tsering Paldron: A Steady Heart in an Unsteady World

Saturday the 2nd May – Sunday 3rd May, Bodhicharya UK Centre in Rochester

We are delighted that Tsering will guide a weekend, non-residential, retreat at the BCUK Centre. The retreat is open to all, beginners and experienced practitioners alike are most welcome.

Over these two days, Tsering will skilfully guide us through exploring how we can cultivate and maintain a steady heart in a world that increasingly appears unsteady, unstable and uncertain. As practitioners we need to develop the ability to stay open, aware and responsive in difficult times, without becoming too caught up and overwhelmed with what is going on around and inside ourselves. Then we can see clearly and act wisely in our lives, in society and the world at large.

In more Buddhist terms, we will explore how the relative truth and the ultimate truth are consolidated in our practice and daily lives and how we can find the balance between view and action. How can we hold an open, wise and spacious view and prevent our activities and engagement in the world from smothering it, and at the same time how can we make sure our open and spacious view doesn’t turn into a way to avoid engaging with the nuts and bolts of our lives and the world in a genuinely compassionate way.

About Tsering

Tsering Paldron was born in Lisbon, Portugal and travelled to Brussels at the age of 19 in 1973 where she discovered Tibetan Buddhism and started her spiritual journey.  During the 80’s Tsering completed the traditional three year retreat in France at The Centre d’Études de Chanteloube, under the guidance of two great Masters, Dudjom Rinpoche and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and also under the supervision of Pema Wangyal Rinpoche. Tsering has and continues to receive teachings from many Lamas of all schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

For the past 25 years, Tsering has been travelling and teaching Buddhism and meditation and has written a number of books on these subjects, mainly in Portuguese, including a children’s book in English called, The Adventures of Tashi, the Tibetan Cricket which is also available in French and German.

Tsering gives regular courses, seminars, talks and meditation classes around the world and runs Bodhicharya Portugal.

She has been regularly visiting Bodhicharya Kent since 2013 and has given many teachings including running day, weekend and residential retreats.  Some of these teachings can be found here.

For more information about Tsering, you can see her English website here.
