Cesare – Spiritual Programme Coordinator

Cesare has been studying Buddhism and practising meditation since 2007. Since then he has attended many teachings and a number of short retreats in Europe and India, mainly within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

He has a philosophy degree and a background in the fields of education and training within secondary schools and prisons. Cesare is a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, clinical supervisor, mindfulness and compassion teacher. He maintains a private practice and also teaches mindfulness and compassion courses to the general public and within organisations.

Inspired by meeting Ringu Tulku Rinpoche in 2008, he began attending the monthly Bodhicharya London Day Retreats lead by Dirk de Klerk. In 2009 he took Refuge in the Three Jewels of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha and founded Bodhicharya Kent under the guidance of Ringu Tulku Rinpoche in 2013.

 

 

John – Centre Manager

John started practicing meditation about nine years ago. In April 2020 John joined Bodhicharya Kent and found Refuge in the Three Jewels of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha there in 2022. Since then he has become an active member of the Kent group and embraced practicing the Dharma in his everyday life. John took Bodhisattva vows with Ringu Tulku Rinpoche in 2024.

A former Officer with the Royal Naval Reserve, John is married with four Children and two Grandchildren. He has over thirty years experience with different community groups in various settings. John holds a Masters in Youth & Community Development.

Martha – Volunteer Coordinator

Martha started practicing Buddhist meditation and undertaking studies some 10 years ago when Bodhicharya Kent was in its infancy. Mother of two and a university advisor at the local college, she enjoys running and more recently the gym, as well as supporting the Buddhist community as Volunteer Coordinator.

Brad – Maintenance Manager

Brad has been a long term adventurer in spiritualism and especially Buddhist studies and practice. Recently he discovered the Bodhicharya group in Kent and has been delighted to join with the community. He is a Chartered Engineer working on London Underground where he also acts as a wellbeing champion.
